summer skills camps
summer enrichment programs are nearly impossible to access for the minority and first generation immigrant families we serve - due to high costs, language barriers, and a number of other obstacles. because the boys and girls we serve are from underserved communities, their growth as students, as athletes, and as people, is stunted by a lack of access to quality youth development programs.
during the summer, a time when constructive, productive, organized programming is traditionally unavailable to the young men and women we serve, their peers from wealthier families are participating in opportunities for much-needed exercise and daily high-level soccer training. our kids have been left on the sidelines, priced out of programming to improve themselves as players and as people, leaving them to play catch-up when they return to the playing field.
by offering summer camps 100% free of charge to our young men and women, and providing them with five days a week of high-level soccer technical training, fitness and nutritional guidance, guest speakers to inspire and workshops to make them think bigger, we empower them to grow, on and off the field, all summer long.
